WORKPLACE WISDOM NEWSLETTER
Freedom is not free.
Our
country celebrated its 230th birthday this month.
Maybe, upon occasion, we forget the meaning of the 4th of July.
Sometimes it can be just a firework and hot dog holiday!
Ordinary men and women, with extra-ordinary commitment, have
fought for
our freedom.
Freedom? What kind of freedom?
Freedom that allows us to be whatever we want…within the law.
Our choices, everyday, need to reflect good judgment.
Our choices always lead to consequences. Good or bad ones!
Yet, those very choices are part of our "package" of
freedom!
As a patriot, I think the least I can do is be responsible with these freedoms
that
have been bought with a tremendous price. I love being an
American. I feel patriotic
with or without a holiday. It humbles me to know that many in my
own family have
fought for me to have the life I'm living today.
How can I be responsible? How can you?
There is no BATTLEFIELD for me…at least like others have known.
So, what can I do to live responsibly in my country?
Accept responsibility for every decision I make.
Understand that consequences (good and bad) are the results of my
choices.
Conduct myself without blaming others for tough times.
Congratulate those who succeed.
Treat this country as if it were precious – a jewel of the highest
value.
Celebrate the family and lock arms with loved ones.
Help my neighbor.
Take the first step to reduce conflict.
Recognize that my freedoms today have been bought with a huge
price.
Demonstrate gratitude and respect to all those who've fought and
died for my
freedom.

Workplace Wisdom?
I think it is good to remind ourselves that even the FREEDOM TO WORK is a
freedom of great value!

No one forces me to do any task. No police state takes my funds.
No one assigns me to an industry or to a workbench.
No one is more responsible for my happiness than I.
So, please celebrate, along with me, our freedom.
Do all that you can to love, protect, and defend what we have.
For every "sensationalized flaw" the media points out,
there are thousands of individual freedoms overlooked!
I hope your week is filled with GOOD WORK!
Enjoy your freedom and live responsibly.
Work with a heart of gratitude.
Make wise choices.
Keep disgruntlement at a distance!
And remember: The fireworks and hot dogs DO celebrate a great
nation.
